I want to start off with I hate leaving bad reviews. I believe that if there is an issue with a service or product it should be handled between the 2 parties and airing dirty laundry is tacky and bad form. With that out of the way. I brought my truck into prossers to have an oil line replaced. I was informed it would be approximately $800 and take a few hours. I sat in the waiting room and prepared to wait. 20 min later they came to get me and explained that my truck couldn't be lifted due to a compromised frame, and this needed to be welded before the oil lines could be addressed. I was told the price was now $1800 and would be 5 hrs and thus could not be done that day. I set up another appointment and dropped it off the day before. Having never received a call the next day, I called multiple times to check and finally got confirmation the repairs were done just before they closed and that now the bill was $2800!! I'll give the benefit of the doubt that maybe the $1800 was in addition to the original $800 and that maybe the 5hrs was in addition to the 3hrs. Even though that was never communicated. HOWEVER the breaking point and reason for this post is the check engine light turning on after and spam text asking how service was. I replied that my check engine light was on and it cost $2000 more than anticipated so they lost a customer. When I checked the code for the check engine light it was confirmed to be caused by the "repairs" done at Prossers. I called and scheduled an appointment to come in and have it fixed. They called back 5 min. later and canceled I said "That's a great way to treat customers" She responded "Yeah, especially ones like you" and then hung up on me. So now despite literally never leaving a bad review on anything before. Here I am leaving a bad review
Hello Cory. Some of what you stated in your review was accurate. I'd like to start with, we did reach out to you and it wasn't a spam text, it's called a follow up. You stated we over charged $2,000.00 and stop texting me and we lost a customer. As you said the original quote was $800.00 for the cooler lines and then the additional $1,800.00 was quoted for all the frame work which also included remove and replace the fuel tank. The complete job was $2,800.00 with tax. So we don't understand how we could be $2,000.00 over what you were verbally quoted in our lobby where 4 of us heard the conversation. It was our fault that we didn't give you an overall total price up front (just broke down prices). Since this happened we implemented a new policy to only accept written approvals. As far as your check engine light you stated it was confirmed to be caused by our repairs by Auto Zone. Not a liable diagnosis. You stated it was an oil pressure code. The oil pressure switch and screen is a very common issue with your style truck. It's located under the intake manifold. Nowhere close to the cooler lines and frame repair that we performed. We decided due to your actions we would prefer to no longer service your vehicles. Probably the best for both parties. That's why we called to cancel your appointment. Thank you Cody for your review. This review will help with the new process and is only going to allow us to serve our guests better. Have a good day.
